 Once again Muse are about to take home a handful of awards, this time at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards! Our boys are nominated in two categories with the video for Uprising, more exactly Best Rock Video and Best Special Effects!  This weekend Muse's hometown of Teignmouth had its exciting Carnival at the Den and during the band's day one of the Muse members made an appearance but not exactly in the form you'd expect: a model of Matt Bellamy has been made from recycled materials with help from children attending creative workshops during carnival week, and we have to say it looks very much like the original! Mr. Goldsmish "has called on music executives to find more groups like Muse if they want to put on huge live events and big tours" or otherwise they will be facing serious poor ticket sale.  After quite a long absence from a proper arena due to their festival obligations, Muse are back on the Stadium Tour and have made the latest stop in Helsinki, Finland!  Playing one summer date after the other, Muse have spent the last few days in the nothern part of Europe, first headlining the Positivus Festival in Latvia and then heading towards Bergen, in Norway, where they took over the Bergenhus Festning stage! Once again Muse proved what an amazing live act they are, with a fantastic show and quite a particular wardrobe choice from Dom!  We've seen Muse play almost everywhere in the world but never in a setting like this: Matt, Dom and Chris proved once again how much they care about their live shows and their fans by playing the Vieilles Charrues festival under a heavy rain storm, getting completely soaked but still managing to put on a thundering show!!  Muse took their fashion sense up a notch at this weekend's Oxegen Festival! Not only did they play a great show but they also mixed things up with some spectacular stage costumes (a little hint: sparkling red!) They also got great reviews, which you can read in the Muse Bandaids Article section: "From the moment drummer Dominic steps on to the stage clad in a large spiky Mohican and a pale green undergarment, the front of the Oxegen crowd has turned into a frantic shoving match, and it’s clear this is a band that’s live reputation precedes it" and "Their natural abilities are immense individually and they play to their strengths which creates an unbelievable sound and energy"!  Although The Resistance came out just almost a year ago Muse are already thinking ahead of time and dished out some info about the direction their next album might take! Matthew Bellamy shared some info on new songs saying that "there's every possibility we'll get back to a little more personal stuff - I can feel that step back is on the cards. I've written some things already and they seem to be more mellowish - it's basically less orchestrated and more stripped down"!! We're so excited! Another interview with Matt about the album, as well as one with Chris are in our forums! Let us know what you think Muse's next direction should be and share it in the Muse Bandaids Forums!

 Only minutes after their fantabolous set at the Roskilde Festival, Muse took the time to sit down with MTV for quite a long interview where they talked about the festival and their first ever stadium date, in Japan, which made them decide to book Wembley for September 2007! Moreover, Matt and Dom chatted about intimate live shows, getting starstruck by Elton John, playing alongside The Edge from U2, a tour documentary and...a possible collaboration with Lady Gaga?!  Who doesn't like to spend the summer hopping from one music festival to another? Muse have been busy bees in the last couple of weekends, first headlining at Glastonbury and then moving towards Scandinavia, where they seemed to be having load of fun rocking out the stage at the Hove Festival and then headlining once again at Rosklide in Denmark!  Muse are one of the many bands that support various charities and in the last few days their efforts have been recognized with a very prestigious prize: the Silver Clef Award, which is given to people in the music industry by the Nordoff-Robbins Centre for Music Therapy. We all know how important music is in our everyday life so just imagine its power when it reaches people whose lives are constrained by illness. Muse attended the Nordoff Robbins Silver Clef Awards and Matt Bellamy also gave a short interview about how fantastic this achievement is. He also conducted part of the auction himself, to which Muse donated the signed custom-made Manson guitar which was used for the Glastonbury rehearsals with The Edge.

 What's better that one of the world's best band headlining the UK's greatest music festival? Having a very special guest! Muse surprised the Glastonbury crowd with an unexpected performance of U2's "Where The Streets Have No Name" with non other than The Edge himself on stage!! This sure is a moment a lot of fans won't ever forget and we are lucky enough to have the full Muse Glastonbury show in HD!! As if this is not enough Muse posted some exclusive photos of the show on their website and we also have over 100 pics from the festival in our Muse Bandaids Gallery!
